Your Right to Data Deletion

At Chirp, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You can request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.


What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will remove:

  • Your phone number and account information
  • Connected social media account tokens and identifiers
  • Message history and posting metadata
  • Subscription and billing information (where legally permissible)
  • Usage analytics and activity logs

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1: Self-Service (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your data is through your account dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Chirp account
  2. Go to your Dashboard
  3. Click on "Account Settings"
  4. Scroll down to "Delete Account"
  5. Follow the confirmation steps

Option 2: Email Request

If you cannot access your account, you can email us directly:

Subject: Data Deletion Request

Include:

  • Your registered phone number
  • Your full name (if provided during registration)
  • Any email addresses associated with your account
  • Confirmation that you want all data permanently deleted

Immediate - Your data is deleted within minutes

Email Request

Up to 30 days - We'll confirm completion via email


Important Notes

  • Irreversible: Data deletion cannot be undone. You'll need to create a new account to use Chirp again.
  • Posted Content: Content already posted to social media platforms will remain there and must be deleted separately.
  • Legal Retention: Some data may be retained for legal compliance (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).
  • Active Subscriptions: Cancel your subscription before requesting deletion to avoid future charges.
