1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Chirp, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Chirp allows users to post messages to third-party social media platforms (e.g., X/Twitter, Meta Threads, LinkedIn) via SMS or other interfaces. You must connect your third-party accounts through Chirp's authorized integrations in order to use the Service.

3. User Accounts

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration and subscription.
• Keep your login credentials and connected accounts secure.
• Be fully responsible for all actions taken through your account, including any posts made via your SMS messages.

4. Subscription & Billing

• Chirp offers both free and paid subscription plans, billed through Stripe.
• By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to recurring billing until canceled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellations take effect at the end of the billing cycle.

5. Posting to Third-Party Platforms

By using Chirp to post on X (Twitter), Meta Threads, or LinkedIn, you:

• Authorize Chirp to access and post content on your behalf via official APIs.
• Agree to comply with the terms of service and community guidelines of those third-party platforms.
• Acknowledge that Chirp is not liable for any content violations, suspensions, or removals initiated by those platforms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to send spam, harassment, or illegal content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

7. Data & Privacy

By using the Service, you acknowledge that Chirp will store and process:

• Your phone number and message content
• Authentication tokens for connected social media platforms
• Metadata about your usage (e.g., timestamps, message volume)

8. Intellectual Property

Chirp retains ownership of all intellectual property related to the platform. Users retain ownership of content they post using Chirp, but grant Chirp a limited license to process and route that content as part of the Service.

9. Termination

Chirp reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or third parties.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• Chirp is not liable for issues caused by third-party APIs, outages, or account bans resulting from your activity.
• In no event shall Chirp be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Modifications

Chirp may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
